To date, Weldex is the largest exhibition of welding equipment and materials in Russia. Weldex exhibitors have an opportunity to present their equipment and materials to a large number of Russian companies’ specialists using welding technologies, demonstrate their welding and cutting equipment at work, find new customers willing to purchase welding materials and equipment, as well as expand the areas of cooperation with existing customers and expand their sales geography within a short period of time.

187 companies from 13 countries are taking part in Weldex 2017. The total exposition area exceeds 8,000 sq.m.

31 companies will display their products for the first time, including:

  • Ador Welding – one of India’s leading manufacturers of welding equipment and materials,
  • Casarini Robotica – Italian manufacturer of positioners and accessories for robotics, supplier and integrator of Hyundai industrial robots,
  • Key Plant Rus – supplier of equipment for industrial welding automation, as well as robotic complexes for welding and spraying,
  • GYS SAS – French manufacturer of welding equipment, chargers and car body repair equipment,
  • Centre of Competence for Industrial Automation Systems (LLC CCSPA) – supplier of equipment and consumables for metalworking, official representative of Precitec, Nutech, Cleanlaser in Russia,
  • Monolith-Center – official representative of Belorus’ Svetlogorsk Plant of Welding Electrodes in Russia.

This year, the organisers have launched a new initiative: visits of production companies’ delegations from Vladimir and Tula Regions. The programme includes a tour around the exhibitors’ stands, meetings with manufacturers and suppliers and participation in the exhibition business programme. The list of delegates includes representatives of Vladimir Plant of Metal Hoses, TULACHERMET STEEL, Pribor RST, Kimovsk Radio-Electromechanical Plant, Murom Switch Plant, KBP JSC – TsKIB SOO Branch, BMT Metal Master 71, SBS-Agroalliance, Shtamp Machine Building Plant, State Laser Range TsKBA Raduga, Tulmashzavod, etc.

Russian and international companies will traditionally display innovative welding equipment and materials.

Rutector – one of the sponsors of the exhibition – will display СЕА and FLAMA welding machines and plasma cutting machines, the latest TECMEN models of welding helmets, TECNA resistance welding machines, MOSA and SHINDAIWA welding machines, FANUC robotic unit, NELSON stud welding machines and SUNSTONE microwelding equipment. Soldamatic virtual welder’s simulator, 2018 make is the highlight of Weldex exhibition will be, it will make its debut in Russia.

ESAB has traditionally prepared several new products for the exhibition, including the lightest and the most compact (in its class) Renegade ES 300i welding inverter – a powerful machine for MMA manual arc welding and TIG welding, Sentinel A50 new-generation welding helmet, as well as a breakthrough solution in the domain of IT technologies and welding process – ESAB WeldCloud system. The system enables remote tracing and control of the entire welding process.

Russia’s Technotron plant for welding equipment will display its mobile pipeline welding unit (MKST) for the first time. The unit is designed for high-performance automatic welding of pipes in fixed position up to 1420 mm in diameter.

Business Programme

The programme of the exhibition includes a number of business events – presentations, round tables and panel discussions devoted to the relevant issues of the welding industry.

On the opening day, 10 October, 2:00pm, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, assisted by the representatives of the Industrial Development Fund, will present the industrial welding module and related technologies within the State Information System of Industry “GISP Welding.” Attendance is free, subject to pre-registration.

At 3:00pm, the Russian Scientific & Technical Welding Society will take the lead to hold a Round table with two panels: “GISP Welding: A new tool for staff training, standardisation and certification of welding production”, involving the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Industrial Development Fund, and “Conformity assessment in welding production.”

Moscow main welders’ session is scheduled to take place on the second day of the exhibition, 11 September. The session will be held in the format of round tables devoted to the topic “Quality and productivity improving methods and costs reduction ways in welding operations - recommendations from world's and domestic leading developers and manufacturers of welding, cutting, restorative and hardening surfacing”.

The “Welding of Polymeric Materials” conference is scheduled to be held for the first time on 12 October. The conference is supported by the Association of Polymeric Materials Welders (ASPM). The list of participants includes the leading specialists of the polymeric industry, representatives of polymeric tube, sheet, film and membrane manufacturers, managers and specialists of construction companies and supervision agencies from various Russian regions. The specialists will discuss the vital topics; implementation of updated documents, applications and best technologies as a tool for polymeric material industry development.

A number of contests, including “The Best Welder 2017”, “The Best Young Welder 2017”, “The Best Welding Engineer (Researcher) 2017” and “Miss Welding of the World 2017”, are traditionally held under the auspices of the exhibition. The contests are aimed at enhancing the prestige of the welder’s profession, revealing and rewarding professional welders that possess outstanding professional expertise and skills.
